The assets of the BDG are vested in bank accounts and a professionally
managed Investment Portfolio.
Representative(s) of the Portfolio Manager are invited to the main Board
Meetings to update the Board on the performance of the Portfolio. The
Board Managers are expected to actively engage in the monitoring and
give clear instructions to the Portfolio Manager on the requirements of
the Guild. History has shown that the performance of the Portfolio is
usually higher when the Managers are actively engaged. Currently (in April
2022) the Investment Manager is Brewin Dolphin.
